Mikky Ekko - Pull Me Down (Ryan Hemsworth Remix)
Labels:
Remix
Somehow when this remix got released it got by me, but I just came across Ryan Hemsworth's remix to Mikky Ekko's "Pull Me Down" and it is one of the best remixes I've heard in quite a while. The whole electro-trap genre has been exploding this year and Ryan Hemsworth is one of it's leading producers. He kills it with every remix he does, and I literally can't stop playing this one. Give it a listen and download it for free below.
Flatbush Zombies - MRAZ
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Here's some new heat from Flatbush Zombies produced by their own producer Erick Arc Elliot titled "MRAZ". Haven't heard a new track from the Zombies since their last mixtape but this is probably one of my favorites I've heard from them yet. It'll be hard for any real hip-hop fan to not like this one. Stream it below.
Collin McLoughlin - If I Lose Myself Cover
Labels:
Cover,
Official Video
After his impressive time on NBC's The Voice earlier this fall Collin Mcloughlin has been relatively silent as far as new music goes but that changes today. His covers have always been extremely well-recieved, a few of them garnered well over one million views. His newest is a complete reproduction of One Republics newest single "If I Lose Myself". Collin's voice sounds as good as it ever has and his work on the production is top notch as well. Give it a listen in the video above.

Kendrick Lamar - Somebody That I Used To Know
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Almost every major hip-hop media outlet has made it official and named Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.D City the album of the year, so needless to say whenever some new K.Dot material hits the internet I'm all over it. This song definitely sounds unfinished but I'm really looking forward to the day the full CDQ song hits the internet. Seems Kendrick took a liking to Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" and put his own spin on it. Can never complain about some new Kendrick, no word on when the full song will see the light of day but here's to hoping its sometime soon.
On another note, Kendrick also recently did a song with Dido that I neglected to post. Kendrick only has one verse on the song, but as a whole it's a really quality track. Dido needs to do more songs with hip-hop artists, seems like every time she links up with a rapper it's gold. Check out "Somebody That I Used To Know" below and enjoy.
Keane - Sovereign Light Cafe (Afrojack Remix)
Labels:
Electro / House,
Remix
Unreal new remix of Keane's "Sovereign Light Cafe" courtesy of Dutch superproducer/DJ/guy who used to date Paris Hilton. The last person to touch a track by Keane and turn it into an electro anthem was Alesso and "Silenced By The Night" was so successful it was only a matter of time before another producer cashed in on the Keane train. Afrojack killed this one, the powerful bass line in the drop accompanied by lead singer Tom Chaplin's vocals is perfect. Give it a listen and buy the song on beatport now.
A$AP Rocky - Long.Live.A$AP (Official Video)
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Official Video
A$AP Rocky continues to hype up the official release of his debut major-label album Long.Live.A$AP even though it had a very public leak about a week ago. The other day he dropped the official video for the title track off of his debut. Check out the video above and be on the lookout for Long.Live.A$AP dropping January 15th.
David Morris (D-WHY) - Song For Newtown
Labels:
Indie
This is something I forgot to post when it released last week but definitely deserves to be heard. You may know David Morris, or D-WHY, for his rapping abilities but the excellent songwriter shows he can sing as well on this indie/alternative style track that he wrote for the victims of the December 14th tragedy in Newtown, CT. It's been great to see the music community come together in support of the victims of this tragedy. Mike Posner wrote his own song to honor the 26 children and adults killed that day, and David put this song on iTunes and will donate all the proceeds from the sales of the song directly to the victims. You can listen to the song in the video above and download it on iTunes now. CT rappers Chris Webby and OnCue also put together their own song in support of the victims from their home state, you can check that out after the jump and it's also available on iTunes now. Enjoy.
Lana Del Rey ft. Jay-Z - Back To The Basics (Urban Noize Remix)
Nobody does remixes quite like Urban Noize, the twin brother production duo out of Miami who brought you the Brooklyn.Chicago.London mixtape that combined Kanye, Adele and Jay-Z samples over completely original production. They take vocal samples from some of the biggest names in music and combine them to make something completely original every time. This time they take Lana's "Back To The Basics" and combine it with verses from Jay's classic Reasonable Doubt album. Give it a listen and download it below.

Larry Lovestein & Ariana Grande - Baby It's Cold Outside
Labels:
Holiday Music
Mac Miller just released this holiday duet with Ariana Grande under his Larry Lovestein moniker. He's released a few tracks under this moniker that are always much different than anything else you'll ever hear from him. He sings on this one and im guessing took the reigns on the production as well. Not bad for a Christmas release, Mac's been showing some real versatility lately. Give it a listen and download it below, spotted this over at illRoots.
Wale - Folarin (Mixtape)
Wale dropped his newest mixtape effort yesterday titled Folarin. It's a dope 21 track mixtape with features from the likes of French Montana, Scarface, 2Chainz, Nipsey Hussle and more along with production from guys like Jake One and Cardo. I've always liked Wale's mixtapes moreso than his albums and this one might be one of his best yet. The Jake One produced track "Limitless" with Scarface has to be my favorite Wale song I've heard in a while. Check out the full project below.

Krewella - Alive (Official Video)
Labels:
Electro / House,
Official Video
Fresh off the release of their Play Harder Remix EP Krewella drops the official video for their single "Alive". Krewella has been getting more and more into House tracks as opposed to the dubstep they came up with. Not complaining at all, this is one of their better tracks yet, check out the video above.
Frank Ocean - Wiseman
Labels:
R/B
It's been a solid week since I've posted any new songs, figured I'd throw a few up while I've got the time on this Christmas morning. Frank Ocean has been releasing some free gems lately on his tumblr page, and the latest is a serious gift titled "Wiseman". Word is this song was supposed to be featured on the soundtrack for the movie Django Unchained but didn't make the cut. All the better for us because now it's available for free. Give it a listen and download it below, it doesn't get much better than Frank's voice.

A$AP Rocky - 1 Train ft. Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson & Big K.R.I.T. UPDATE W/ Full Album Stream
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Easily the most anticipated track off of A$AP Rocky's forthcoming, highly anticipated debut album Long.Live.A$AP just dropped and it's unreal. Easily one of the best songs I've heard in a while, the lineup is stupid good and the Hit-Boy produced beat is ridiculous as well. There's really nothing left to say, this just has to be heard. Click the link below to listen to "1 Train" via 2dopeboyz, and be on the lookout for Long.Live.A$AP dropping 1/15.
LISTEN: A$AP Rocky - 1 Train ft. Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson & Big K.R.I.T.
UPDATE: Unfortunately that link no longer works, but I can do you one better. The other website I contribute to (wayuphere.com) has a full stream of Long.Live.A$AP up already on the site. Click here to stream the entire album in full almost a month prior to it's official release.

Kaskade & Deadmau5 vs. Swanky Tunes, Matisse & Sadko - Move For Me The Legend (Kaskade Mashup)
Labels:
Electro / House,
Mashup
Kaskade always comes through in the clutch on mashup monday. This time he lays he and Deadmau5's track "Move For Me" over Swanky Tunes and Matisse & Sadko's "The Legend". Can never go wrong with a new Kaskade mashup. Download it for free below.
T.I. ft. Kendrick Lamar, B.o.B & Kris Stephens - Memories Back Then
Labels:
Hip-Hop
With the long-awaited release of his album Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head coming tomorrow, Tip stopped by Shade 45 to release another track with B.o.B, Kendrick, and Kris Stephens on the hook. Not sure if this will find a home on the album or if it's just a freebie for the fans, but it's dope nonetheless. A Kendrick feature is all a song really needs to get me to listen to it. Listen to "Memories Back Then" below and grab a copy of Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head tomorrow.
Talib Kweli ft. Ryan Leslie - Outstanding
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Official Video
Here's the new video for Talib Kweli's smooth, Boi 1da produced track featuring Ryan Leslie. R Les supplies the hook and add's in a verse as well and as always Talib does his thing. I don't think I've ever been dissapointed by a Talib track, this one is off of his upcoming album Prisoner Of Conciousness which is due out in February.
DJ Earworm - United States Of Pop 2012
Labels:
Pop
Just like he did in 2011 DJ Earworm is back with his latest mashup of all the top 40 hits from the past year, the United States of Pop 2012. Essentially every song that's been annoyingly stuck in your head for the past year is in this mashup. Pretty nuts how so many songs put together can actually not sound bad and make sense. Check out the lyric video above.
Skizzy Mars - Pay For You ft. G-Eazy
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Skizzy Mars just dropped his latest collab with New Orleans' own G-Eazy, who produced this song along with having a verse on it. Any track with these two on it is going to be solid, G-Eazy had to be one of the most talented artists in the game right now. Behind the boards he kills it, and his lyrical, introspective verses are always top notch. Skizzy has solidified himself as one of the top up-and-comers out there and his fan base is as strong as ever. Still no word on when his debut project Phases will release but it's safe to say anticipation is at an all time high. Check out "Pay For You" below and download the track for free. Also check out G-Eazy's facebook for dates of his Must Be Nice tour, Skizzy will be alongside G on all 32 dates.

KYLE - Silver Platter (Prod. Carnage)
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Official Video
I've never heard of this dude Kyle before, but I've been following Carnage for long enough to know that anything with his name attached to it is going to be dope. This time he links up with 19 year old California rapper Kyle for this light-hearted track titled "Silver Platter. The official video for the track is a play on the childhood classic The Sandlot, and even includes a cameo from D-Why as well. If I had to make a comparison, the beat sounds like something you might hear form G-Eazy with that old-school/trap feel and Kyle almost reminds me of Donald Glover a bit. Definitely an interesting track, and I'm looking forward to hearing more from Kyle. Download "Silver Platter" below. Pigeonsandplanes had the premiere on this one.
Mike Posner - Heaven
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Following the tragic events of last Friday in nearby Newtown, CT Mike Posner released this song titled "Heaven" as a tribute to the victims. He puts his own lyrics over the guitar section from Ed Sheeran's "Let It Out". Here's what Mike himself had to say about this one: "I wanted to do SOMETHING for the victims’ families. I wrote this song because I didn’t know what else to do, Today makes no sense…God has blessed me with this gift and it felt wrong not to share it. I hope this song finds its way to proper ears." Definitely a classy move on Mike's part and a great way to honor the victims. Give it a listen below, and all of our prayers go out to the families affected in Newtown.
Kid Ink - OG (Official Video)
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Official Video
Kid Ink just dropped his latest video for his track "OG" off of his most recent mixtape Rocketshipshawty. This song just continues to demonstrate how Young Chop can pretty much carry a song for anyone. He produced this beat and Kid Ink does his thing, but it's nothing special as far as a verse goes. The beat is unreal though, further proving Young Chop is one of hip-hop's premiere producers.
Big Sean - Guap (Official Video)
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Official Video
Big Sean takes it back to his hometown of Detroit for his Hall Of Fame track "Guap". The new album is expected to drop sometime early next year. This video was directed by Mike Waxx and Mike Carson of illRoots. Check it out in the clip above and be on the lookout for Hall Of Fame coming soon.

Big Boi - Truth Be Told (Interview)
Hypetrak TV did a great interview recently with Big Boi about his latest solo album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors. It has to go down as one of the albums of the year. Big Boi describes the album as electro funk, and speaks on how collaborations with indie artists Little Dragon and Phantogram came about. He also addresses the questions of an Outkast reunion. Check it out in the video above.
A$AP Rocky Debuts "LongLiveA$AP"
Labels:
Hip-Hop
A$AP Rocky stopped by MTV's RapFix Live and ended up debuting the title track off of his upcoming major label debut album Long.Live.A$AP. With the release of the tracklist and production credits the other day, anticipation for the album is at an all time high. Check out the debut of the track below, Long.Live.A$AP drops January 15th.
Jabari Presents: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (Documentary)
Labels:
Hip-Hop
I've been seeing this around on different blogs for a little while but I've neglected to post it for a while. They just posted it on LA Leakers as it jus surpassed 200k views and I had to post it. The success that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have seen whilst still remaining completely independent is pretty unbelievable. This documentary was directed by Jabari Johnson and gives you a little insight into how these indie artists pave their own way in the hip-hop world. Check it out above and enjoy.
Steve Angello - Yeah (Official Video)
Labels:
Electro / House,
Official Video
Steve Angello, one third of Swedish House Mafia, just released the official video for his latest solo effort "Yeah". Pretty much sounds a lot like something you'd expect to come from SHM, but it's a solid progressive house anthem. Don't really get how the video even remotely relates to the song, all that needs to be said is it takes place in an alternate universe where women over 80 and midgets can become superheros. Make of that what you will.
Coldplay - Fix You (Aylen Remix)
Labels:
Electro / House
I've been following Aylen for a little while now but I believe this is the first time I've put one of his remixes on the site. I can never say no to a Coldplay remix, Chris Martin's voice is simply too good. Once the kicks drop in and the bassline amps up you won't be able to say no to this remix. Give it a listen below and download it for free via Aylen's Facebook page.

Chief Keef - Hate Bein' Sober ft. 50 Cent & Wiz Khalifa
Labels:
Hip-Hop
It literally pains me to put "good" and Chief Keef in the same sentence but this song bumps. Chief Keef does what he can and delivers a pretty catchy hook but the beat is unreal, as far as im concerned Chief Keef might as well be humming. Young Chop is a beast of a producer, he's slowly becoming one of the premiere producers in hip-hop. Wiz and 50 both kill it, those were two surprising features for Chief Keef to get his hands on. This will be on Chief Keef's debut album Finally Rich which drops December 18th.
T.I. ft. A$AP Rocky - Wildside
Labels:
Hip-Hop
The latest single off of T.I.'s forthcoming, highly-anticipated album Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head has the Grand Hustle rapper going in over smooth production alongside Harlem's own A$AP Rocky. With every track that gets released off this album my anticipation grows for it more and more. It's been delayed time after time, but I honestly think that just gave tip time to stockpile ridiculous features. He released another one earlier today with a Meek Mill feature, and every song we've heard has had another heavyweight attached. Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head drops December 18th.
Big Gigantic + GRiZ - Power
Colorado electro producer Big Gigantic known for his dubstep/electro infused remixes is back with his latest track alongside Detroit native producer GRiZ. They link up for this powerful new track aptly titled "Power", that brings in influences from all across the spectrum like jazz horns among others. Give it a listen below and download it for free. Spotted this one on gmad.
Kids These Days - Doo Wah (Official Video)
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Official Video
Kids These Days are an interesting, eclectic musical collective out of Chicago who bring together influences from all over the musical spectrum to create something completely unique, like nothing I've ever really seen before. The group consists of MC Vic Mensa, vocalist Macie Stewart, bassist Lance Beckstram, Trumpet player Nico Segal, and trombone player JP Floyd. They released their debut studio album for free download earlier in the year and here is the video for their track "Doo Wah". The group also co-produced their entire album with Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy. Definitely something you're going to want to check out. Watch the video above and click the link below to check out their debut album Traphouse Rock.
Reese - Molly (LOUDPVCK Remix)
Trap production duo Kenny Beats and Ryan Marks, collectively known as LOUDPVCK just released their newest banger track, this time it's a remix to Reese's "Molly". The electro-trap genre has been pretty much ever-expanding for the last few months with more and more artists popping up. We were really one of the first sites to post LOUDPVCK's music a few months back and they've blown up since then, even securing a spot opening for Nero on New Year's Eve in NYC. Check out their latest track and download it below.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Thrift Shop Live On Jimmy Fallon
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' debut album The Heist has taken the country by storm in the last few months, and did huge business in stores as well peaking at #2 on the Billboard charts. By now everyone and their mother has heard their hit single "Thrift Shop" off the album, and last night they stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform the song with a little help from The Roots. Check out the performance above.
Misterwives - Imagination Infatuation x Lullaby
Living in New York City, one is able to come across some extremely talented musical acts that may not be considered "mainstream" yet. Whether it's a previously underground rapper like A$AP Rocky or a Brooklyn indie band like Grizzly Bear, some artists are one step away from breaking onto the scene in record fashion. With that said, there are only so many artists to find success like this. For the thousands of other bands, singers, songwriters, producers trying to find their niche, it's a grind of ups and downs. There is one certainty why so many people come here to begin their careers, New York City is the land of musical opportunity.
For the past couple months, I have been following a band out of Astoria, Queens enough to consider myself a groupie. Formally known as Mandy Lee, the Misterwives are an indie-pop-folk group that is beginning to find their groove. The Misterwives consist of the Mandy Lee on vocals and keys, Will Hehir on bass, Stjepan Pavich on guitar, Etienne Bowler on percussion, and for there live shows you'll have to come see Michael Murphy bringing the sexy sounds of the saxophone back. All their music is produced and recorded by Danny Rico.
You may previously remember Stags Flow introducing them with the catchy single "Vagabond", but now they are beginning to finally release some great new material. Leading up to their release of the EP, the Misterwives have created a SoundCloud account featuring two great, but vastly different tracks that illustrate the diversity of sounds this band can provide. "Lullaby" features Mandy Lee's amazing vocal capability. While it's not something you're going to partying to, "Lullaby" is a soothing single that almost has an Adele feel with Mandy's delivery and lyrical content. Their second new single is one of my favorites the band does live. "Imagination Infatuation" is an upbeat love single that you'll be jamming out to. Although Mandy is the voice you hear, you can't deny the sounds that Will, Stjepan, and Etienne provide through each of these tracks.
Time will tell if the Mistewives will become that next indie band to make it big, but one thing is for sure: you can't knock their hustle. Playing numerous sets at places like Arlene's Grocery, Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden, Piano's; they just want to be heard. If you are around NYC this weekend, head down to Arlene's (Facebook Event) to check them out and hear some of their other tracks from their upcoming EP.

Big Sean - Reality
Labels:

Here is the third installment in Big Sean's new vlog series titled Reality. This one takes a look at Sean's first headlining show in Detroit where he brought out everyone from Common, Kanye, and Pusha to his old friend Mike Posner. It focuses on Sean's ambition and drive to achieve his dreams. Definitely a sick look inside Big Sean's rise, check it out above. His forthcoming album Hall of Fame drops early 2013.

T.I. - Hello ft. Cee Lo Green
Labels:
Hip-Hop
T.I. is set to drop his long-awaited album Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head next week and today he let loose his latest single off the album featuring Cee Lo Green. This album is looking like it may just live up to the hype it's been getting as of late. The rumor was T.I. had recorded over 100 possible songs for it and all of the singles have been dope. This may be my least favorite of the leaks off the album, it's pretty hard to beat that Andre 3000 feature. Check out "Hello" below and be on the lookout for Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head.
Coldplay - Paradise (Modestep Cover)
Labels:
Dubstep
UK rock-dubstep collective Modestep just released their latest track in anticipation of their upcoming album Evolution Theory. They put their own touches on Coldplay's "Paradise" in this dubstep remix/cover. Their singer Josh Friend does a great job on this one, it's definitely hard to cover Chris Martin's vocals but he kills it. Stream the song below, spotted this one over at The Kollection.
A$AP Rocky - F*ckin' Problems (Rendition) by SoMo
Joseph Somo has been known to absolutely murder every cover he tackles. You may remember his medley of Drake and The Weeknd covers that got his name known, or any of his excellent originals he's released in the past. Today he dropped one that may be a little more out of the box than any of the others but it sounds unreal. His voice has only gotten better since I heard him first and he murders this cover. Check it out above and check out SoMo's website below to download his debut album.

Alesso - Clash
Labels:
Electro / House
Alesso has had quite the year and here is his newest single to close out a huge 2012 for the young Swedish producer. There's been a lot of talk going on as the similarities between this and Nicky Romero's "Iron". Definitely sounds a bit similar at the beginning but the melodies are definitely distinguishable. Regardless, it's another massive track from Alesso that will undoubtedly be huge. Check it out in the stream above.
Game - Murder ft. Kendrick Lamar & Scarface
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Game will also be releasing an album tomorrow, his fifth studio album Jesus Piece releases tomorrow as his final album on Interscope. This song serves as the final installment in Game's Sunday Service series that brought us other solid songs like "Holy Water". Game is coming back with this newest album, every song he's release leading up to the album drop has been top notch. On this one he brings along Kendrick and the OG Scarface. Give it a listen and download it below.
Big Boi - Mama Told Me ft. Little Dragon
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Big Boi's forthcoming album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is just a day away from it's official release, although if you managed to get your hands on the leak you could've been listening to it for days. Yesterday, Big Boi dropped a track that will not have a home on VLADR, at least not in this form. Due to business reasons Big Boi was forced to replace Little Dragon with Kelly Rowland for the official album version of his track "Mama Told Me" but he decided to let the original version loose after performing the song on Jimmy Fallon with Little Dragon. Give the song a listen below and head over to iTunes to preorder VLADR. It is definitely one of the albums of the year.

Big K.R.I.T. - Now And Then ft. Slim Thug
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Big K.R.I.T. has been silent for a bit but he just released this smooth new track featuring Slim Thug yesterday. I've always been a big fan of southern rap and Krit is one of the top dogs coming out of the south right now. This song is going to appear on Wally Sparks' new mixtape which will be dropping on the 10th. Give it a listen and download it below.

Pusha T - Blocka ft. Popcaan & Travi$ Scott
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Pusha released this new single last night via his twitter after a brief period of silence from the GOOD Music representative. He brings along Popcaan, and fellow GOOD Music signee Travi$ Scott to go in over this fresh Young Chop production. Travi$'s bars have yet to be added but I will update the player with the new one once the full version of the song is released. Word is this will be on Pusha's upcoming mixtape. Enjoy.

Labels:
Hip-Hop,

If you missed the newest single from Odd Future's Earl Sweatshirt then you've been missing out hard. Earl's lon-awaited return to music came in the form of this introspective single "Chum" where he addresses almost every topic people had wanted to hear him speak on. Today he released the black and white official video for the song which was directed by Hiro Murai. Check it out above and "Chum" is on iTunes now.

A$AP Rocky ft. 2 Chainz, Drake & Kendrick Lamar - F*ckin' Problems (Official Video)
Labels:
Hip-Hop
If you don't like this song I'm not sure what is wrong with you. Even the ridiculous 2 Chainz hook is too good, and the fact that he doesn't even have a verse on the song is even better. It's been the most played song on my ipod since the release and was begging for an official video and today Rocky released the visuals in anticipation of his album LongLiveA$AP. The project will drop on 1/15/13. Check out the video above and purchase the song on iTunes now.
Game ft. Lil Wayne, Fabolous, Big Sean & Jeremih - All That
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Game drops yet another feature heavy track off of his upcoming album Jesus Piece. He stopped by Big Boi's Neighborhood to release the track if you can't tell from the million "Big Boi's Neighborhood" tags throughout the song. Give it a listen below, Jesus Piece drops 12/11.

Marc Noir & Osen ft. Brenton Mattheus - Break Us
Labels:
Electro / House
Up-and-coming vocalist Brenton Mattheus out of the UK recently teamed up with Canadian producer and Marc Noir Texas-born producer Osen for their latest anthem "Break Us". This might be the best song I've heard so far from Brenton, his voice sounds excellent over some powerful production from Marc Noir & Osen. Stream it below and you can purchase "Break Us" on beatport now.
Moufy - One Day (Prod. Almari)
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Moufy is another dude who has been really silent as of late. After the release of his Boston Lights mixtape it seemed like it was only a matter of time before he blew up huge. He's got a really unique delivery that sets him apart from a lot of other MC's coming up and he cranks out catchy hooks like its his job. With the release of his album Humble Season coming in 2013 Moufy is looking to regain the buzz he had at one point last year. Check out the single below, Humble Season is coming early next year.
Game - Rollin ft. Kanye West, Trae Tha Truth, Z-Ro, Paul Wall & Slim Thug
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Game's Sunday Service series has brought some gems, "Holy Water" being one of them, but this is by far the best release of that series. Leading up to the release of his fifth studio album Jesus Piece, which drops December 11th, Game released this feature heavy track with guest appearances from Kanye, Trae Tha Truth, Z-Ro, Paul Wall (Paul Wall still raps?) and Slim Thug. I'm a little confused though as Kanye's voice is nowhere to be heard on this song. I'm guessing he must have had a production credit, but that was pretty much the troll of a lifetime by Game to add him as a featured artist. Would have loved to hear a Kanye verse over that beat. Regardless, any hip-hop fan will love this one, download it below.
Foster The People - Helena Beat (Oliver Nelson Remix)
My favorite electro remixes always involve some infectious indie vocals, something about the folky sound to indie vocals mixes perfectly with upbeat dance or electro beats. Here's a remix to Foster The People's song "Helena Beat" done by Oliver Nelson that turns this indie track into an all out funk-electro dance track. Check it out below.
The Knocks - The Feeling (Brenton Duvall Remix)
Labels:
Remix
Brenton Duvall has been extremely quiet for the past few months which means he's probably bee crushing it in the studio getting ready to release some new material. He's made a name for himself as one of the premier remix producers out, every track he releases is so clean and he always puts his own feel on whatever original he chooses to tackle. This time he goes after The Knock's song "The Feeling"and once again kills it. Definitely a song you're going to want to download. Give it a listen and download it below.
Big Boi - She Hates Me ft. KiD CuDi
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Big Boi's upcoming album is looking like it is going to compete with Kendrick's GKMC for the album of the year to spot. We've already heard "Lines" with A$AP Rocky and Phantogram, and now we have this smooth track featuring Kid Cudi who seems to be fitting right back into his old rapping ways. The features on the album include some of the biggest names in hip-hop and indie-pop so it should be a really interesting blend of genres, and an unreal album. Give this new track "She Hates Me" a listen and buy it on iTunes, Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors drops December 11th.
