Childish Gambino - Silk Pillow x Black Faces
Labels:
Hip-Hop
So it's been quite a week for me over here. My apartment got robbed, so I lost every electronic I know. 5,000 tracks on a computer? Yep all gone. So since I'm broke as shit and can't afford a computer I will be only able to post from work for the next month or so. May be 1 post a day or 3, whenever I can grab some time.
But I digress, Childish Gambino has been on a tear recently. There were rumblings that he was going to be releasing a mixtape soon. Well the rumors are true and Donald has been leaking track after track. He has teamed up with some unexpected acts. On "Silk Pillow" he joins forces with Beck, yes that Beck from back in the day, who provides some guest vocals and production. This definitely is a different sound from Gambeezy, but he's no stranger to pushing the envelope. On "Black Faces" the Gambino I know and love returns. Over a Boi-1da / Ludwig beat, Gambino teams up with Nipsey Hustle to provide a classic jam.

Trey Palms - Outta Control (Freestyle)
It's been a long while since we've heard any fresh material from our dude Trey Palms but he and his team hit us up with a new track today thats tight. I've always been a big fan of Trey's freestyles, he's released a few dope ones but none like this. His flow and delivery on this one are unreal, I've never heard him spit this fast before and he kills it. The beat is tough too, I'm looking forward to hearing more from him very soon. Be on the lookout for a lot of new music from Trey coming this summer. He'll be dropping two projects in the next few months, an EP of remixes and then his LP titled Can't Hardly Wait. Check out the track, download it and stay up on Trey via the links below. Enjoy.

Ellie Goulding & Xaphoon Jones - High For This (The Weeknd Cover)
Labels:
Cover
We've been MIA on the site for the past few days, I've been without a computer at my cousins graduation and Sean had a bit of a robbery in his apartment in the city and every electronic he owned got stolen...no biggie. I'm back to reality today though so I've got some stuff to post and it'll be business as usual over here from now on. First up is a track released today by Ellie Goulding and Xaphoon. It's a cover of The Weeknd's "High For This" that sounds dope. Ellie can really do no wrong in my eyes, her voice is unreal and with Xaphoon on the production you can't go wrong. It's just a sick easy-listening track, check it out over at Neon Gold who had the exclusive premiere on this collab.

Joseph SoMo - The Trilogy Medley (Cover)
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Music Video,
Pop
Joseph SoMo got his first glimpse of publicity with a medley of covers off of Drake's "Take Care" and it's been all up from there. Today he released a medley of covers from Drake's fellow Toronto native The Weeknd. This kid is honestly one of the more exciting talents we post on the site these days. Ever since Austin over at FNT put us on to his music he's released hit after hit. His covers have killed it with views on youtube and on this site, and his latest original track "Kings & Queens" was a hit. He has that genre bending sound that appeals to so many different people. It's only looking up for SoMo, the vocalist out of Texas. Check out this medley of covers above and stay up on Joseph SoMo via the links below.

Pusha T - Exodus 23:1
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Some of you may or may not have heard of the beef brewing between G.O.O.D. music signee Pusha T and YMCMB, well this is the track that started it all. Pusha takes a ton of subliminal shots at YMCMB and Lil Wayne on this one and Wayne did not take kindly to that. Shortly after Pusha premiered "Exodus 23:1" at Cannes Weezy tweeted, "Fuck Pusha T and anybody that love em." Seems like theres a good old fashioned rap beef brewing between GOOD Music and YMCMB, check out the track that started it all below, he's firing shots but he does kill it.
Then, today Lil Wayne fired back at Pusha, with no subliminal message whatsoever. The first line of the track happens to be the tweet Wayne tweeted earlier verbatim, and he continues to fire shots at him throughout. Check out "Ghoulish" (Pusha T Diss) below, and let us know who you think took this installment of YMCMB vs GOOD Music.

Gym Class Heroes ft. Ryan Tedder - Fighter (Official Video)
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Official Video,
Pop
Gym Class Heroes just released the video for their collaborative effort with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic. The song is exactly what you'd expect from Gym Class Heroes, nothing spectacular but definitely a smooth track with some catchy verses from Travie and a dope chorus from Ryan Tedder. The video stars Olympic hopeful gymnast John Orozco and follows him in his training for the olympics. I'm guessing this track will be used in some form for Team USA advertisements for the London olympics this summer. It has a great mainstream sound I'm guessing you'll be hearing this all over the radio. Check it out and you can buy the track on iTunes now.
That Work - Secret Lover (Party Supplies Remix)
Party Supplies just released this new remix to That Work's track "Secret Lover". He adds more of an electronica feel to the original indie track. This one is a perfect summer track, it seems like as the weather gets nicer I start listening to more and more indie music. It always has that perfect summer feel. Check this one out and download it below.

Colin Munroe - Your Eyes ft. K. Flay
Labels:
Pop
I have to be honest, until recently I knew next to nothing about Colin Munroe. I knew he was a singer but I figured he was just another middle of the road singer who was struggling to breakout, and I hadn't really heard much from him. Well lets just say that all changed once Sean told me to take a closer look at him. He's quickly become one of my favorite vocalists out and he just released a dope song with female vocalist K. Flay who I haven't heard anything from since she did "Coastin'" with Zion I. This is a more subdued, dark track from both of them but Colin's vocals are extremely smooth and K. Flay does her thing as well. Check out "Your Eyes" and download it below. This one is off of Colin's upcoming mix tape Unsung Hero, shouts to our man Meddafore for the tip.

Justin Bieber - Boyfriend (Remix ft. 2 Chainz, Mac Miller & Asher Roth)
Bieber's coming out swinging with the remix to his reintroduction to the music world in his single "Boyfriend". He recruits a star studded lineup of 2 Chainz, Mac Miller and Asher Roth who all go in over the Mike Posner instrumental. Asher takes the cake with his verse on this one, Bieber and Selina reference and all. Have to admit I thought Bieber was going to go in and spit a quick 16 at the end there, but I'm cool with these three verses as well. Check it out and download it below. illRoots had the premiere on this one which is pretty wild in the first place. Press play and enjoy.
Moufy - The Preperation (Mixtape)
I'm a little late on this one but Boston's Moufy just dropped his latest mix tape The Preperation on Datpiff the other day. Moufy's buzz has been growing exponentially lately but it's been a while since we've seen any new material from the Star Gang general. Moufy has shown he's really versatile and his flow and delivery are really unique. This is a quality first project of 2012 for Moufy and the year is only looking up from here. Stream and download The Preperation below.

Wiz Khalifa - Work Hard Play Hard (Official Video)
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Official Video
Wiz dropped the video for the first single off of his upcoming album ONIFC tonight and it's sick. Wiz's style has definitely changed a bunch since the early days but I'm still digging his sound. The beat goes hard and Wiz's flow just keeps getting better. Check the video out and head over to iTunes to buy the single.
U2 - With Or Without You (Clinton Sparks Remix)
Labels:
Electro / House
Clinton Sparks may be on to something here. Similar to the way Flo Rida brought the EDM sound to mainstream radio, commercials, and movies; Clinton Sparks is bringing back 90's alternative rock to the club scene. If you haven't been Gettin' Familiar, over the past few weeks he has been on an absolute tear. Remixing 90's Alt Rock songs from Lit to Puddle of Mudd & making them Rage worthy club bangers. What I love about his "With Or Without You" remix is that it doesn't completely stray away from the original. The buildup meshes with the vocals perfectly and the drops come in at the peak of Bono's vocals. Definitely another successful remix from Clinton. Should be a mainstay on your party playlist. U2 + electro beats? It's a New England-Vineyard Vines-wearing-prepsters' wet dream. I can only wonder what 90's alternative rock song he's going to make into a club banger next? Possibly a little Pearl Jam? maybe some Eagle Eye Cherry? Semisonic's Closing Time? The possibilities are endless.
Watch for a new record next week & Clinton's debut single "Watch You" featuring Pitbull dropping in a few weeks.
Another thanks to our man A from FreshNewTracks.com.

Introducing Shav & Mentos
It's been a little while since we've done an "Introducing" post but we got a gem of a submission in the inbox the other night that more than warrants one. Shav & Mentos are two Colgate University freshman who linked up to create an interesting duo. Aaron Mentos and Keshav Garg were randomly roomed together at Colgate University. The freshmen produced a 5 song EP titled “The Circus Room” in their first year together, which is set to release within the next week. The pair wrote their first single, ‘Carelessly,’ on the first day that they met at Colgate. Shav’s singing and guitar works perfectly with Mentos’ rap and bass. The two grew up playing live instruments, and being influenced by multiple genres of music. Mentos grew up performing as a bassist in his dad's reggae band, "Mentos and the New Horizon Band".
Shav & Mentos have a really unique sound, they seamlessly blend several genres like hip-hop, reggae, and soul and they put their rapping and singing over all live instruments. Shav's voice has a Jason Mraz quality to it that blends perfectly with Mentos flow. This is a group that you're definitely going to want to check out. Give their tracks a listen below and be on the lookout for their entirely original The Circus Room EP dropping soon. Enjoy.

Timeflies Tuesday: So Good
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Timeflies Tuesday
These two are really too good, it's not fair. This week for Timeflies Tuesday Cal and Rez tackled B.o.B.'s "So Good" and they murder shit once again. I hope everyone appreciates just how crazy it is that these two are able to release a certified banger every week without fail. They make it look so easy on their videos, the talent these two have is unreal. Rez's remixed production shines on this one and Cal's flow is smooth as ever. Check out the video above and here's to hoping they release a download link for this one very soon. Enjoy!
Cam Meekins - :) :/ :(
This kid can flow with the best of them. It's been a little while since Cam Meekins has released a full project. 1993, his latest full length, was released a little over a year ago and made a splash in the blog world. Since then Cam has clearly been hard at work, his last few videos he's released have garnered a to of views and this album is looking like it will be the breaking point for Cam. His flow is super versatile, there's a ton of different tracks on here, from feel good tracks like "Just To Be Wrong" to more serious emotional tracks like "Run Away". No matter the beat his flow and lyricism are always top notch. This is definitely a project you're going to want to check out. Give it a listen and download it below.

Kaskade - Room For Happiness ft. Skylar Grey (Hyperbits Remix)
Labels:
Electro / House,
Remix
Hyperbits has been quiet in the past few months but they are about to make some serious noise with this new remix of Kaskade and Skylar Grey's "Room For Happiness". They gave it a much harder feel and turned it into a big room house banger. The drum work they did on the chorus over Skylar Grey's vocals and the drops are unreal, I think this might be their best remix yet. Anything with this beat and those vocals is an automatic hit for me. If you haven't familiarized yourself with Hyperbits it's time to change that, check out the track below and hit the links below to stay up on all things Hyperbits.

Goone - No Interruption x Under The Sea Remixes
It's been a little while since we've had our man Goone's name on the site but that is going to change big time in the next few days. Goone's new album Halfway To Nowhere is dropping May 28th and in anticipation of the album dropping he will be releasing a new "blog rapper" remix every day. He'll be taking on beats from guys like Hoodie, Timeflies, Mike Stud and more. For the first remix which he released two days ago he took on Hoodie's beat from "No Interruption" and kills it. His flow matches up perfectly with that beat, and proves to be really versatile because for his second one he tackled the Rob Resnick instrumental from Timeflies' "Under The Sea" and murders that one as well. Goone has clearly been on his grind lately, this next week is going to be a BIG one for this dude. Be on the lookout for a new remix coming every day culminating in the drop of Halfway To Nowhere on May 28th. Enjoy!

2012 Billboard Music Awards - Performances
Labels:
Music Video
If you don't have a television, you may not have known the 2012 Billboard Music Awards were in Las Vegas on Sunday Night. In a similar way that the Grammy's has evolved, the award show is very performance-driven. I have no problem with that. On the actual award front, everyone that should have won did. But let's be honest, Lil' Wayne and 2012 didn't really go hand in hand. The fact that he won Best Male Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Album baffles me.
Some of the biggest pop and hip-hop acts hit the stage Sunday night, crushing it. If you did miss it, we've got you covered. Check out some of the performances below. I highly recommend watching the John Legend / Jordin Sparks Whitney Houston Tribute. More specifically, just watch Jordin Sparks who sings "I Will Always Love You" so beautifully. Literally gave me chills.

Rick Ross - So Sophisticated ft. Meek Mill
Labels:
Hip-Hop
The BAWSE Ricky Ross follows up his first single "Touch'n You (feat. Usher)" with an absolute banger. He enlists rising star Meek Mill for the second single, "So Sophisticated", off the highly anticpated "God Forgives, I Don't" album. This is that straight driving music. Both Rozay and Meek drop solid verses. If you missed Meek's "Dream Chasers 2", you are missing out.
God I still love the M-M-M-M-Maybach music intro....

The Electric Sons - Kyoto
Labels:
Indie
Would like to introduce you to Atlanta electronic duo of guitarist/vocalist Andrew Miller and keyboardist/vocalist Ben Richards (aka The Electric Sons). "Kyoto" is a single of their self-produced, self titled EP that was recently released. When the sun starts shining and the summer breeze kicks in, there is no better music to relax to than some indie sounds. "Kyoto" is easily a must have on those playlists for the beach, boat, or whatever you're doing. This one comes courtesy of The Kollection.
Seems like my new favorite bands all have the "electric" theme : Electric Guest and now The Electric Sons.

Asher Roth - Outside
Labels:
Hip-Hop
It's really funny to think that when some people think of Asher Roth they think of a "one-hit-wonder" who released that song about frat parties a couple years ago. Asher has come a loooong way since the "I Love College" days and he's progressed ridiculously far as an artist. He's got one of the smoothest flows in the game and is one of the more creative rappers out there. He's an individual to say the least and his tracks are anything but predictable. "Outside" is his latest release that he unleashed on the world yesterday. I really admire the way Asher approaches making a track. He makes the music he wants to make and it seems as if that's exactly what this track is. It's a perfect summer track with a super catchy indie hook. Press play and download the song so you can get outside and listen to it in some nice summer weather. Asher's new album Is This Too Orange? is on the way. The download comes courtesy of illRoots.
Lupe Fiasco - Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Lupe just dropped his latest single off of his upcoming album Food & Liquor II via his twitter and it will be available for download on iTunes tonight at midnight. For this one Lupe goes in over a sample of Pete Rock and CL Smooth's classic "T.R.O.Y." and just murders it. This is the best Lupe song I've heard in quite a while. As is expected with the sample this has more of an old-school feel than anything Lupe's released lately. A lot of stuff off of Lasers was really radio friendly, and then he did some work with Bassnectar so it's nice to see him get back to just straight rapping over a dope hip-hop beat, and that's exactly what this is. Food & Liquor II is scheduled to drop September 25.
Acoustic Truth - Love Me Still
Labels:
Acoustic
There's just no easy way to transition from writing about a screaming Waka Flocka Flame into the beautiful vocals on this song "Love Me Still" by Acoustic Truth so I'm not even going to try to think of a witty thing to say. You should, however, check out this new song from Acoustic Truth, a group who has never been featured on the site before. I have to give a big shout out to one of our readers, Nicole, who submitted this one to us. Acoustic Truth is a duo out of Chicago consisting of Ryan Knott and Sarah Lendy. According to their Facebook page they started making music together after meeting as counselors at a camp for kids with psychological disabilities, and now enjoy playing their music for audiences at hospitals and rehabilitation centers. I can't make this stuff up.
But on a more serious note they have unbelievable talent. Sarah's voice is unbelievable, she's probably one of the best female vocalists I've heard in a while. It's got a great folky feel to it, is really calming, and pairs perfectly with the acoustic guitar. She almost sounds like a younger Sarah McLachlan which is never a bad comparison for a female vocalist. These two are definitely worth checking out, download "Love Me Still" below and click the links below to check out their Facebook page and Twitter.

Waka Flocka Flame - Rooster In My Rari
Labels:
Hip-Hop
One of the more ridiculous characters in the rap game, Waka Flocka Flame, dropped the latest single off of his second studio album Triple F Life today and if you're thinking it's going to be more of the same from Waka....you're exactly right. I couldn't keep myself from posting this track, Waka just does what he wants and that's scream over bass-heavy beats. That's pretty much how I would describe this one, but I challenge you not to at least bob your head while you listen to this. It might be physically impossible to listen to Waka motionless...press play and see for yourself below.
Kendrick Lamar - War Is My Love
Labels:
Hip-Hop
New Kendrick tracks don't come along very often, so when they do I about shit my pants in excitement. Today Kendrick dropped this short cut titled "War Is My Love" that will be featured in the new Tom Clancy Ghost Recon video game. Kendrick shows off that smooth flow and lyrical prowess we've come to expect from him. I don't think there's anybody in the game today that can match him lyrically. Any song he is on he kills and this is no exception. Check it out and download it below. Enjoy, enjoy.
Calvin Harris ft. Ne-Yo - Let's Go (Markus Cole Remix)
Labels:
Electro / House,
Remix
Markus Cole has graced us with plenty of banger original electro tracks in the past but he's never attempted to tackle a remix before....until now. Pepsi is doing a remix competition for Calvin Harris and Ne-Yo's track "Let's Go" and here is Markus' entry. He hits you with his now signature progressive electro feel with a driving bass line and melodies that match up with Ne-Yo's vocals perfectly. This remix works so well it sounds like this could almost be an original. Here's to hoping this is not the last remix we see from the young producer out of Toronto. Check out the remix below and support Markus by clicking the link below to vote for him in the Pepsi remix contest over on Beatport!

"No Budget" is an extremely heavy, head-bumping hip-hop track. Over insanely smooth production from Aktion, "No Budget" features some ill verses from D. Maroon 5 ft. Wiz Khalifa - Payphone (Official Video)
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Official Video,
Pop
I'm a few days late on this one but any excuse to put "Payphone" on the site is cool with me. This song is just too damn catchy and the video is pretty sick as well. Can't say I expected car chases and shootouts to be in this video but it's a sick set of visuals, and the leading lady is not too hard on the eyes so it's definitely worth a watch. Wiz's verse is pretty stock but his flow is so smooth it makes anything sound good. I do have one complaint though, Wiz, can you please stop rapping about your push-to-start cars? I'm pretty sure they have that shit in Kias now. Had to get that off my chest. Check out the video and "Payphone" is available on iTunes now.
Alesso - Years (Jakob Liedholm Open Your Eyes Edit)
Labels:
Electro / House
This track comes to you courtesy of the homies over at FNT. I've never heard of Jakob Liedholm before but this mashup/bootleg caught my eye and definitely impresses. He took Alesso's "Years" which is one of the biggest house tracks of the year, and added in Kate Elsworth's vocals from Dirty South & Thomas Gold's "Eyes Wide Open". The vocals mesh perfectly with the uplifting production from Alesso, this kid clearly has an excellent ear for music. Oh..and did I mention he's only 15 years old? Yaa thats kind of impressive. Check out the track below and keep an eye on this young Swede, he's sure to make waves in the music world very soon. Enjoy.
UPDATE: Uhh...so this kid is unbelievable. I just checked out his full sound cloud account (Jakob Liedholm Soundcloud) and he's got a couple ridiculous remixes on there, two of which I'll add below. Check them out, Jakob Liedholm is definitely a name to watch out for in the future. Bonafide prodigy.
Neon Hitch - Donald Trump (Yashar Gasanov Dubstep Remix)
Labels:
Dubstep
A little while ago Neon Hitch did a few covers of some hip-hop tracks like Wiz's "On My Level" and then Mac Miller's "Donald Trump". I was a huge fan of the covers when they came out, Neon Hitch's voice is dope and she really worked her own style into both tracks even though they were covers. 22 year old producer Yashar Gasanov took her "Donald Trump" cover and put his own electro flair on it. It's not a super hard dub step track which is a good thing in my mind, the drums add a dope element to the song and the build-ups and drops are sick. You can give the track a listen and download it below.

Mod Sun - Happy As Fuck ft. Pat Brown (Prod. Cisco Adler)
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Mod Sun dropped this new summertime track today with Pat Brown on the hook and the one and only Cisco Adler on the production. Mod Sun has always been hit or miss with me but he did his thing with this one. There's not much to say about it except this song is happy as fuck. Check out the lyric video above and download "Happy As Fuck" on the player below.
Diplo ft. Lazerdisk Party Sex - Set it Off
Labels:
Electro
Diplo just released the latest leak off of his upcoming Express Yourself EP. Diplo has always been known to jump back and forth between genres, he's easily one of the most versatile producers in the game. This time he takes on moombahton, which I've never personally been a huge fan of but this track is pretty catchy, the vocal samples that drop in throughout set the song off. Check it out and be on the lookout for the Express Yourself EP which is set to drop June 12th and will have tons of big collaborations.
Calvin Harris ft. Ne-Yo - Let's Go (SuperNOVA Remix)
Labels:
Electro / House
Producer SuperNOVA just hit us up with his latest release, a remix of Calvin Harris and Ne-Yo's hit "Let's Go". He turns the radio friendly track into a much harder electro track but keeps the feel-good vibe of the original track. Definitely a solid rework, check it out below and you will not be disappointed.
Curren$y ft. 2 Chainz - Capitol
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Curren$y drops the latest leak off of his upcoming album Stoned Immaculate which is set to drop on May 22. 2 Chainz hops on a verse on this laid-back cut, seems like he's hopping on anything he can these days he's had a lot of sick features in the pas few months and you can add this one to the list. It's got the vibe we've come to expect from Curren$y and only gets me more pumped for the album. Press play, relax and enjoy.

Childish Gambino - We Aint Them
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Gambino has been on a roll lately, this is his third release in the matter of a week. First it was the "F*ck Your Blog" track and then "Unnecessary" with ScHoolboy Q, now Donald takes the solo role on this track with production from himself and his personal producer Ludwig. This is more subdued than a lot of Gambino tracks but he still hits you with the wordplay that we've come to expect from him. Definitely a solid track from Donald, gives you a little insight into his personal life which is something a lot of people don't know anything about. Check it out and grab the download below.

The Knocks - All We Got (Brenton Duvall Remix feat. One Room & Kardinal Offishall)
Brenton Duvall never ceases to amaze me. He is certainly justifying his rising star status. Most recently, he has been chosen to perform at the highly prestigious Bonaroo Music Festival in Tennessee, which is well deserved. Today he has released his most recent remix entitled "All We Got". This track is so smooth and perfect for when you're chillen out. So let it ride below.I'll let Brenton finish the description of how this remix came about:
"One day early this year, B-Roc of the Knocks suggested I remix their power funk sex magic song “All We Got,” off the Knocks’ Magic EP. It was my favorite song of the release. Then once it got all slow and ambient and sexy and blunty I enlisted the help of mystery geniuses One Room (Check out their amazing new song Tip Toe here), comprised of Samuel and Chris P. So roll down a window and cruise to this….more soon. Futuristic shyt, bow."

Timeflies Tuesday: Same Damn Time
Labels:
Hip-Hop
The boys from Timeflies take their turn re-mixing Future's track "Same Damn Time". While only a few Timeflies' Tuesday have shown Rez making the production magic, this one does it the best. The video illustrates Cal signing / rapping and Rez conjuring up the production at the same damn time. Rez's ability to layer all the instruments he is playing is pretty amazing. While people are going to be giving the guys a little shit because it's more of a cover than a freestyle, cut them some slack. Yes, Cal does switch it up a little bit with his own flair. They do something outside the norm and provide free music every Tuesday. In my eyes, I think "Same Damn Time" is actually a pretty killer TF Tuesday. They have shown you how to multi-task like a mothafucka. Catch Timeflies this weekend at Bamboozle.

Icona Pop - I Love It
Labels:
Electro,
Official Video,
Pop
Stockholm pop duo Icona Pop released their newest track the other day and this one should blow up this summer, I would expect to hear this frequently on the radio and probably in some commercials as well. These two have a really marketable sound, if you're unfamiliar with Icona Pop they are the group Xaphoon Jones sampled for Chiddy Bang's "Mind Your Manners". The new track "I Love It" is super catchy, it's been climbing the wearehunted charts for a few days now and I couldn't not have this on the site. Check out the official video for the track above and enjoy.

Steve Morris - Tapada World Cover
Can't say I expected a lot when I started listening to this Posner cover by Steve Morris. I've never heard of Steve before and covering Posner is not an easy task. He's got such a unique style and his ability to cross over genres is pretty difficult to replicate. Steve definitely impressed me as soon as I hit play. He's less like Posner and more like a guy like Outasight (complete with the ray-bans and all). He not only hits you with quality vocals on the hook but puts his own spin on his verses and the cover is dope. This video is the first installment in a series of behind-the-scenes videos Steve will be doing. It's safe to say I'm looking forward to hearing more from him, be on the lookout for the future releases and stay up on Steve via his Facebook and Twitter. Links for both are below.

Ground Up - Right Back At It (Official Video)
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Official Video
Ground Up is a duo who I've followed sparingly over the last year or so and they've impressed me a ton. They release a ridiculous amount of material, the most recent being their mix tape The Get Up. This is the latest track off of The Get Up to get the visual treatment, "Right Back At It" is a heavy hitting hip-hop banger with a catchy chorus. Both MC's show off a dope, quick delivery and the production meshes with their vocals perfectly. The video chronicles their recent trip to Amsterdam, you can check it out above and download The Get Up below. Enjoy!
Sid Sriram - Elevate ft. Sonny Shotz
If you checked out The Dean's List latest album you've heard of Sid Sriram. He's been featured on a few songs with Sonny Shotz of The Dean's List and was on one of the standout tracks off their Generation X album in "Youth". This time Sid takes the leading role delivering some excellent soulful vocals, and Sonny adds in a verse as well. Sid also self-produced the track, he is definitely a young talent to keep an eye out for. Check out "Elevate" below.
Kanye West - Lost In This World (Tiesto Remix)
Labels:
Electro / House,
Remix
This track has been floating around the internet in unofficial form for a long time now. Low quality versions of it have been seen ever since Tiesto debuted this remix in his Ultra 2011 set last year. Well today we finally got the official version of Tiesto's remix of Kanye's MBDTF cut "Lost In This World". Like only Tiesto he can he kills it and turns the subdued Kanye track into an unreal house song. The Kanye vocals compliment the driving production really well, the build-ups on this one are made even better by the vocals. This is a hit, give it a listen in the youtube video below. Enjoy.
T.I. - Like That
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Here's the latest single from T.I. fresh off the release of his single "Love This Life". I'm really surprised "Love This Life" didn't take hold as much with the mainstream audience, I thought that track would have been all over the radio by the time summer came along but I guess I was wrong. So for this one T.I. comes with a more raw, hip-hop feel. It's nothing spectacular but definitely another solid single from Tip. Check it out in the stream below and let us know what you think. How does it compare to "Love This Life"?
Childish Gambino - Unnecessary (Ft. Schoolboy Q)
Labels:
Hip-Hop
The first release off Gambino's untitled new mixtape received the Funk Flex treatment last night for the premier. Courtesy of illRoots, Gambino and Schoolboy Q teamed up for hip-hop heavy release. You should all know by now that Stags Flow is a huge supporter of Gambino. Since they have been performing together, this collaboration is a no-brainer. I can only hope that Gambino also teams up with fellow performer Danny Brown. All three will be performing together on the Central Park Summer Stage June 25th. Tix are sold out, but you can find them on StubHub for double the price hah.

Beau Young Prince - DreamCatcher (Mixtape)
We've been supporting our boy Beau Young Prince ever since I can remember, he's come a long way since the early days and this mixtape shows just how far he has come. As he says himself this is his reintroduction to the world as an artist. The tracks on DreamCatcher are his most polished tracks yet. Beau is a guy who hasn't fallen into the "frat-rap" category that a lot of college aged MC's fall into. He's kept a classic hip-hop feel in all of his flows but has also shown his versatility as well. He can deliver a hard-hitting hip-hop track like the first one on this tape "Before Sleep", and then can slow it down over dope indie samples like he does on several tracks on DreamCatcher. I think those might be my personal favorite tracks from Beau. Something about the indie vibe and his flow and delivery mesh perfectly, and his lyricism is always on point. If you haven't checked out Beau's music yet it's time to change that. Give the full tape a listen and download it below. Enjoy!

Dylan Owen - In The Corner ft. Kinetics
Labels:
Hip-Hop,
Official Video
Dylan Owen and Kinetic's team up for a ridiculous new track. These two released the Jon Kilmer produced video for their track "In The Corner" tonight and both of them absolutely throw down lyrically. It's a deeper, emotional track and both Dylan and Kinetic's deliver unreal verses, both with a dope quick delivery. I'm not sure where they filmed the video but it's a perfect visual pairing for the song, this is the best song I've heard from either of these two in a while. Check out the video, download the track below and be on the lookout for more from these two coming soon. Kinetics and One Love's album You Are Not Alone drops June 19th.

DJ Drama ft. Drake & Future - We In This Bitch 1.5
Drake hops on the remix of DJ Drama and Future's track "We In This Bitch" and kills it, Drake has been murdering everything lately. He's on arguably the best track off of Meek Mill's mix tape Dreamchasers 2 in "Amen" and this verse is huge. Check out the remix and download it below.
Miike Snow - The Wave (Brodinski Remix)
Labels:
Electro
Brodinski puts their own spin on Miike Snow's track "The Wave". There's been a ton of really good electro and house remixes of indie tracks out recently, there's something about indie vocals that just works really well over a wide range of instrumentals. This one is more of a techno track, Miike Snow made it available for stream and you can check it out below.

Ab-Soul - Black Lip Bastard (Black Hippy Remix)
Labels:
Hip-Hop
Well, it's been a long two days for me I haven't had any time for music so I've been quietly going stir-crazy while studying for finals, but that shits done now and it's all StagsFlow for me for the summer. TDE is on fire recently, I don't think theres a better cohesive group of MC's out there right now. The whole crew got together to hop on the remix of Ab-Soul's track "Black Lip Bastard", ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, and Kendrick are all on there and they all just go in. Real hip-hop at its finest, I'm unbelievably pumped for the release of Ab-Soul's Control System tomorrow. Should be some unreal features from the whole Black Hippy crew, be on the lookout for that dropping tomorrow.
Justin Bieber feat. Ying Yang Twins - Boyfriend (Remix)
"I don't wanna be your boyfriend/ I wanna be your man/ He a little bitty boy/ I'm a grown man /I can take you overseas, Bahamas breeze.../I bet you ain't never met somebody like me."
So in the end, yes they did it. Reaction : I love this in every way possible.
Download is now included!
