Got a brand new artist to the site today. Dylan Owen hails from a small town, Goshen, NY, and is currently a freshman at Cornell University (the place where Kinetics & One Love honed their skills). His debut album Senioritis broke the Top 200 on Itunes last summer and he is currently working on his second album to be released this summer. He's also been opening for some big names like Mac Miller, Tayyib Ali, Wiz Khalifa, Sam Adams, Chris Webby, Chiddy Bang, Spose, and Grieves as well as past collabs with Mac Leethal.
Dylan is definitely a new impressive rapper that I wish I had been introduced to earlier. On the track "The Book Report", Dylan provides an all-around dope track. From the smooth catchy chorus to the on-point lyricism, "The Book Report" is definitely success. To go with the theme of the track, Dylan spits rhymes that tell a story. What sets Dylan apart from the pack is his emotional and deep lyricism. He has a Macklemore-like delivery, Dylan Owen is definitely a rising star and unique to the rap game. Don't be surprised if you find him on Stags Flow more often!
